Switching from Google Workspace to Nubo Suite

1. Contacts. Google Takeout exports contacts as vCard. Nubo Contacts imports .vcf (vCard 3.0), so this is a direct match.
2. Calendar. On a computer, open Calendar settings, Import and export, Export. Google gives you .ics files, which Nubo Calendar imports.
3. Drive files. Download folders from Drive. For Docs, Sheets and Slides, use the editor’s Download menu and pick the Microsoft Office format (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx), which Write, Sheets and Slides open.
4. Mail. Google Takeout can include Mail in a download archive, but Nubo has no mail import tool. Set up forwarding on your Gmail while you switch, and keep the old mailbox for old messages.
5. Meet and Chat. Download any recordings you need. Chat history does not move.

1. List the people, shared mailboxes and domains you use today, and decide which plan you need.
2. Open a free Nubo account and try three of your Docs as .docx files in Write.
3. Export contacts as vCard and calendars as .ics; import them for a pilot group first.
4. Download Drive folders, converting Google editor files to Office formats, and upload them to Nubo.
5. Set up forwarding on Gmail before you change anything about mail.
6. Add your domain and point mail to Nubo when you are ready.
7. Keep your Google subscription until you have confirmed you can read your old mail and files elsewhere.
8. Cancel Google at the end of its billing period, not before.
