Moving creative and PDF work from Adobe to Nubo Suite

Moving here is a file-by-file decision, not a switch. Layered PSD files, SVG, PDF, EPS and PDF-compatible .ai files open in Nubo. Premiere Pro and Audition projects do not. Many teams keep one or two Adobe seats for designers and move everyone else.

What to export from Adobe

Do these first. Keep your old account active until you have checked everything arrived.

  1. Photoshop work. Keep .psd files. Photos opens and exchanges layered PSDs; check complex files for effects that do not carry over. Export flattened PNG or JPEG for anything that must look identical.
  2. Illustrator work. Save .ai files with PDF compatibility, or export SVG, PDF or EPS. Vector opens all of these.
  3. Acrobat files. PDFs open directly in the PDF app.
  4. Video and audio projects. Project files do not move. Export finished videos and audio, and rebuild a project only if you need to edit it again.
  5. Cloud documents. Download what you need from Creative Cloud storage and upload it to Nubo Files.

Checklist

  1. Sort your Adobe users into designers who need the full tools and everyone else.
  2. Open a free Nubo account and try a typical PSD, SVG and PDF from your work.
  3. Check that fonts, effects and colour profiles survive on your most complex file.
  4. Move PDF and e-signature work first; it is the easiest to replace.
  5. Keep Creative Cloud for the people who need Photoshop, Illustrator or Premiere Pro daily.
  6. Reduce Adobe seats at the end of the billing term.

What does not move

  • Nubo has no migration tool. Files move as the formats above.
  • Nubo’s creative apps are good for quick edits and light design, and they are not a substitute for Creative Cloud for full-time designers.
  • Nubo does not generate images, video or speech, and it does not read text from scans.
